chocolate peppermint bark cookies

This year I participate in The Great Food Blogger Cookie Swap, which I was really excited about, so I knew I needed to make my faaaavorite holiday cookies. You guys know I'm a big sucker for anything chocolate or peppermint, so naturally I made chocolate peppermint cookies!

To make these, all you need is:

1 box of chocolate cake mix
1/2 a cup of vegetable oil
1 egg
1 bag white chocolate chips
1 box of candy canes or peppermint pieces
Peppermint Extract (optional)

Then preheat your oven to 350 degrees, mix the cake mix with the egg and veggie oil, crunch up your candy, add the white chocolate chips, and stir.

Once your oven is preheated, place your cookie dough (in balls) on a lined cookie sheet, and bake for 7 to 10 minutes. Then allow to cool and package or eat accordingly.

Happy Holidays!
Are you a peppermint lover like I am?
