Now that it's officially "summer break," I'm ready to focus on tying up all the loose ends that I left this semester. I want to get out and see more, get into a few more hobbies, work on a few skills I've been lacking, and most importantly, have fun!
In no particular order, my goals for the summer are:
Simplify - twitter, tumblr, facebook, mailing lists, hustle, bustle, and clutter. I want to work on clearing things up, cleaning things out, and having enough room to breathe. It's important to unplug and let the little things take over every once in a while.
Keep up with Yoga - I've really enjoyed my experience with yoga thus far, and I want to continue to progress over the summer. In just a few weeks of yoga, I've noticed more strength and calm within myself. I'm excited to see what else I can learn.
Go on a road trip - Another goal is to get out and see this beautiful country that I live in. I'm not sure exactly where I want to go, but I'd definitely enjoy visiting the friends and loved ones that I have spread out all over the place.
Focus on quality - This goes along with simplifying and decluttering. Not only do I want to get rid of the superfluous, I'd like to invest in quality things and experiences. For example, saving up a little money for a really nice pair of shoes instead of buying 5 pair that will wear out within a month. I want to focus on quality in every aspect of my life.
Host an Orange is the New Black viewing party - Oh my gosh, have you seen this show?! The new season comes out June 6, and I am BEYOND excited. I LOVED season 1, and I can't wait to watch the next one. If you haven't seen season one, you need to go watch it NOW.
Do well in my summer classes - What if I got all A's?! That would be really great.
Work on healthy habits - I need to go to bed on time, be more picky about my groceries, and do something other than lay around all day when I have time off. I want to be more productive, have more energy, and feel like an all-around more healthy and active person.
What are your goals for summer?
