Mother's Day Gift Guide with #StrolbyMothersDay

With mother’s day right around the corner, a lot of us are struggling to find a way to show our mothers just how much they mean to us. I personally plan to cook my mom a nice meal and give her a few little things that show I was thinking about her.

My mom is one of the most important people in my life, and I know there’s no way I can actually repay her for all the things she’s done for me. What I can do, however, is give her something meaningful, beautiful, and high-quality.

My mother’s style is simplistic, and she really appreciates the little things in life. Other than family and the great outdoors, her favorite things are good food, fresh cut flowers, and beautiful handmade jewelry.

I was at a loss as to what to do, until the website Strolby gave me some Mother's Day gift ideas. Strolby is a network of hand crafters and artisans that focus on delivering high quality handmade products. Strolby sells locally made, limited-production goods from the best small shops in Brooklyn and the Hudson Valley in a single online marketplace.

As my mother is a handcraft artist herself, I know she appreciates a good, well made product from the heart. It was nice to find gifts with some meanings behind them. Here are some of the things I’d pick for my mom this mother’s day:

Franny’s Simply Seasonal Italian Cookbook - One of my mom’s biggest passions is cooking. She’s an amazing cook and I hope to someday be on her level. She knows the power of good food and can hang with even the most seasoned chef. She’s my culinary hero, and a cookbook would inspire her to create new fun, delicious meals.

Pyrite Cuff Bracelet - Being a rock lover (and a jeweler) I think my mother would appreciate the raw simplicity and unique nature of this bracelet. It’s dainty, yet strong. A statement piece that’s not too terribly loud.

Lemongrass Room and Body Spray - Smelling good is feeling good, and feeling good is always good! What’s not to love?

Sun Stud Earrings -  I think these would challenge my mom's normal jewelry style, and she’d have fun finding or making something to go with them.

Chocolate Collection Cookie Box - Chocolate is one of the the universal loves among moms. Who doesn’t like chocolate? And the more, the better. Paired with a nice wine or just snacking while hanging out on the patio, I know chocolate is my mom’s guilty pleasure, and I’m not mad that she passed it down to me too!

To top if all off, Strolby is giving away 5 of their bestselling products to one lucky reader! How cool is that?! Prize includes the sun stud earrings, a beach hair spray, shimmer nail polish, Malibu aromatherapy kit, and a lovely modern cuff bracelet.
