Monthly Favorites + Unfavorites // June 2015

June 27, 2015

I say this basically every month, but it seems so crazy that June is already almost over! I got to do a lot of awesome stuff this month. I traveled, I got a lot of things done around the house, and I got to be in a wedding! I'd love to know some of your favorite things from June as well!

Beauty:

Hang Ten Sunscreen - Hurray, another cruelty free sunscreen! I love that it's in a spray form, so it's quicker than some of my other sunscreens.

Bare Minerals Blemish Remedy Foundation - This foundation has been really great at keeping up with the heat of June. I wore this during my friend's wedding and it kept all the way until after the reception! I got it at Sephora, and I wear the shade Clearly Pearl.

Sea Salt Hair Spray - I made my own sea salt hair spray, and I will upload a tutorial ASAP! My hair has been curl city this month!

Food:
I went dairy-free in the last week of June, and even though it's been super hard, I feel really great! I will do a 'Why I Went Dairy-Free" post in a few days and tell y'all all about that, but for now I will share a few of my diary-free favorites!

Diaya Mozzarella Style Shreds - It was a running joke at beach week that my "not exactly cheese" was the topping of choice. Of course it's not cheese so it's not the same, but for fake cheese, it's pretty good. I'll have to do some more experiments with it!

Ice cream is basically my favorite food, so giving that up has been really hard, but thankfully I found SoDelicious Coconut Milk Frozen Desserts. So far I've only tried the mint chocolate chip, but I'm all about trying the rest of the flavors like peanut butter, cherry, and cookie dough!

TV & Movies:

Orange is the New Black - This show is honestly my favorite show to ever exist. My friends and I watched all the 13 new episodes in less than five days. If I wasn't at the beach I would've watched them all in one day. Now I just have to wait an entire year until Season 4 comes out, so sad :(

Jurassic World - Okay guys, I'll admit that I was hesitant to see this movie, but I LOVED it! Chris Pratt is one of my favorite actors, and damn sexy too. I won't spoil anything, but it's definitely a must-see. If you saw it, did you notice Margarita Man? I did!

Events:

One of my best friends, Kit, got married! She was so stunning, and I got to be one of her bridesmaids! You can check out some of the photos from her gorgeous wedding here!

I went on a road trip to the Outer Banks with some really good pals. We spent a ton of time at the beach, and even got to see the sunrise at a lighthouse! You can check out that post here!

Random Stuff:

While at the beach, my friends and I stuck up a conversation about our childhood love of Neopets. I've made a new account and have been playing ever since. It sounds really silly, but it's a great stress reliever after a long day. And my pets are so cute!

World Market! Seriously guys, I'm falling in love with World Market all over again. I've always gone there for cute gifts for friends, but just recently I bought some kitchen stuff from them and I've been loving it. Everything is so cute and affordable!

My homegirl Caelan from The Daily Sass is planning to come visit me sometime next month. How freaking exciting is that? It will be the first time I've met a blogging friend IRL and I can't wait to show you all of the fun DC related things we do!

Marriage Equality! I was so excited when I saw that the US Supreme Court ruled in favor of legalizing gay marriage in all 50 states. It was seriously one of my favorite moments this year. I've been so happy to see all of the positivity on social media lately. #LoveWins

Unfavorites:

Not a single unfavorite this month! Hurray!

  1. Loving the favourites lineup this month! So happy the US of A has now legalised gay marriage in every state. Australia (and the rest of the world for that matter) need to get onto that asap. Also you and Caelan get to hang! This makes me far too happy and you need to take photos etc so I can live vicariously through your catchups. x
