Watched, Wanted, Worn | Autumn

Can you believe it's already the end of the year? Its crazy to me how fast the second half of 2017 has flown by. My autumn was chock full of fun outings with friends, apple cider, unseasonably warm temperatures, and lots of art museums. I visited Boston, drank the best green tea latte of my life, and discovered a love of Irish pubs. Autumn filled me with wanderlust and also let me get cozy with my loved ones. Here are some of the things I watched, wanted, and wore this past season.

The Handmaid's Tale
I've talked this book and TV show to bits, but it was one of my favorite discoveries of 2017. The show is so well made, and so scary, and the book was even better. I'm looking forward to reading more Atwood novels, and impatiently awaiting season 2! Sidenote: Alias Grace is another Atwood book-gone-TV-show and it's really worth a watch as well!

American Vandal
This serial-esque crime mockumentary had me both rolling on the floor and on the edge of my seat. No joke, it was riveting. You'll have to watch and see #WhoDrewTheDicks.

The Royal Tenenbaums
I've always loved Wes Anderson films but somehow this classic had evaded me. I think it may be my favorite of all. It was so quirky and dramatic, but still had some real heavy parts too. It really made me appreciate Luke Wilson.

Beaded Tassel Earrings
What's not to love about a statement earring? Recently I've been fawning over Baublebar and the jewelry section at Madewell. I've already started to get my NYE look together and I'm thinking silver sparkle everything.

Old Skool Vans
I'm not sure why, but the Old Skool Vans are doing it for me this year. I've never owned a pair before, though I have donned the slip ons (remember the checkerboard ones in the 00s?! Every emo kid rocked them) and a pair of monochromatic Authentic sneaks during my restaraunt days. It's time for something new, and I'm thinking maybe taupe or a cute blush pink number.

Capri Blue Volcano Candle
I don't think this needs much explanation other than, you gotta smell this candle. It's the big dark blue one that I'm sure you've seen everywhere. It smells like lemons and other lovely things and I recently found a less expensive dupe at bath and body works, so win-win! That one I haven't been able to find online but if you find Capri Citron at B&BW, give it a sniff!

The 'Funfetti Sweater'
I have been wearing my Lou&Grey "Rainbow Chip" sweater (pictured above) nonstop I got it a few weeks back. It's super comfy, the material is super high quality, and makes me feel like I'm surrounded by funfetti cake. It may just be my favorite purchase this year.

Subtly Shaded Jeans
I've never really branched out when it comes to different color denim (except if you count my one pair of suuuper loud purple skinny jeans in freshman year of high school) but I thought a nice rich jewel tone pair of jeans would be nice for fall, and I've been practically living in them. I snagged a pair of emerald green, a deep burgundy, and even entertained a royal eggplant shade (but I think the flashbacks from the hideous purple jeans of my past held me back a little there) and found that they paired nicely with most of my other clothes. I would definitely say yes to a little color in winter too!

Frye Dara Chelsea Boots
These boots caught my eye back in September and I had an absolute fit trying to decide on the color, and a total goose chase on a good price for them. I figured investing in a pair of boots would definitely be worth it in the long run, and you can definitely tell by feeling them that they're made to last.

What have you watched, wanted, and worn lately?
